StikBots are the social-sharing easy to pose figurines! Their unique design allows for easy positioning on any flat surface thanks to their suction-cup hands and feet. StikBots can be posed in countless ways - their limbs, torso, and even neck can be positioned at multiple different angles! StikBots can also be stuck together and are ridiculously fun and addictive to play with! But StikBots are more than just stylish pose-able characters; they are the first ever social sharing toy! Download the free app for iphone and Android so kids can shoot stop frame animation videos quickly and easily. Kids can film, pause and edit their StikBots then share on their favourite social media site!

The Dunblane based shop is calling for kids of all ages to create their own video using Brainstorm’s Stikbots in a bid to win a special Oscar.

The competition opened on Monday 1st February and is running until 29th February, when the winners will be announced. Toy Hub is supporting the competition with a social media campaign.

Gerard Gourley, of Toy Hub, told Toy World: “I had this idea to do a Stikbots competition as we were aware that our children and the local children were already into it. Whilst on the Brainstorm stand at Toy Fair, Nick Saunders expressed his enthusiasm and agreed to supply prizes for the competition, which we are currently awaiting.”

There is no age limit for entrants, and Toy Hub is encouraging fans to create both original videos and remakes of movie scenes using the Stikbot characters.

“Our son Jake was in store last weekend giving demos on how to use the Stikbots, and we will be posting tutorials on social media in coming weeks,” Gerard continued. “We’re expecting around 50-100 entrants, and are still on the search for a good judging panel.”

Entrants can submit their videos to the Toy Hub Facebook page.

Toy Hub Retailer of the month

Based in Dunblane and founded by the husband and wife team, Gez and Helen Gourley, the store has been championed for its balance of big name brands and educational toys.

The Good Toy Guide has named the family run Scottish independent Toy Hub as its Retailer of the Month for August.

Based in Dunblane and founded by the husband and wife team, Gez and Helen Gourley, the store has been championed by the Good Toy Guide team for its balance of big name brands and educational toys.

Since its launch in 2010, Toy Hub has become famed for its collection of strong brands such as LEGO, Orchard Toys, Melissa & Doug, Coiledspring Games and more, as well as its emphasis on in-store theatre and customer experience.

As well as a locally revered window display, the store even boasts its own resident games expert who has helped to expand the store’s offering as well as make her own range of infant toys which can be purchased in store.

Further consumer incentives offered by Toy Hub include a loyalty reward scheme offering customers two points for every pound spent, secret shopping nights and Birthday party planning help with wish lists, party bags, helium balloons, cards and gift wrapping.

“Helen and Gez have introduced some brilliant ideas to draw customers into their store,” said Lucy Moody, head of retail relations at Fundamentally Children.

”The secret shopping nights must be a huge hit with customers at Christmas and the imaginative window displays are just magical for children as they walk past.

“Birthdays are often a stressful time for parents so lovely to see they can take some of the pressure off with their party services.”
